December 3rd.
• Decision to have 2 days of the Tour for 2005, as it is the
100th anniversary of the neighborhood.
Median Clean Up
• Jen Almekinder is working with Parks and Rec to organize –
there’s been an extension on the matching grants.
• Noted the need to invite Kelly and Autumn and the possibility
of getting a gift for their efforts.
• We’ll have a standing agreement with the city for maintenance
of the median. A cooperative one.
• Idea to roll Fred Fletcher park into the agreement met with
mixed feelings, most feeling that this was too much of a “bite”
to take of the effort.
• The city has foliage, bulbs, etc. at their facility and will
provide some gratis and others at reduced cost. They will supervise
the planting, especially of the larger pieces.
• We’ll be following Annette’s original 1993 plan,
which is still the most comprehensive.
• Decided on first work day of September 18th- this date will
be designated for clean up only. Jen will take these dates to Wayne
Schindler for approval/revision.
• Second and subsequent stages will be for mulching and planting
• David to send out email by August 15th to neighborhood asking
for volunteers
• Clean Up time will be 9am-12pm
