The consensus was not to open the tour on Friday night, but rather to use Friday night (and First Friday) for a focused marketing effort. This includes: placing Tour pamphlets throughout G-wood South restaurants and galleries on First Friday (and other potential downtown spots); asking homeowners to light homes on both Friday and Saturday nights; placing luminaries on G-wood Ave Friday and Saturday night with signs on both ends of the neighborhood to promote the Tour). We decided to forego on the trolley. We want to actively encourage neighbors to have decorations/lights up and on during the weekend of the Tour, and considered some sort of incentive for best decorated homes. Here's a revised calendar draft for September 2002-September 2003. We will work on finalizing dates in the next few weeks.
