Spring Block Party:
The Block Party is scheduled for Saturday, April 30th. Christina Root and Rhett Fussell will contact LeAnne and Don Sharp to elicit their help in contacting neighbors on the corner of Adams and Filmore Streets to gain their agreement to block that area for the Block Party. This is the same corner where we had the Block Party two years ago. Also will need to gain permission from neighbors for bathroom usage. David will send a "Save the Date" e-mail to the listserv alerting the neighborhood of the date, with details to follow. We are going to investigate a pig pickin' for this year's event. Christina, Rhett, Jill Averitt, and Jennifer and Roy Attride are all investigating various aspects for the block party preparations, pig pickin' information and other details. We are tentatively targeting a budget of $600 for the Block Party. This is for food, beverages, and music. Reports on planning details due at next meeting, March 2nd.
T-Shirts:
Jill Averitt is going to talk with Norty Turner about doing another run of HGBNA T-shirts to sell for fund raising. We discussed doing another design and/or another color of t-shirt, or doing the current design but adding something regarding the 100th anniversary of the neighborhood. Jill/Norty will get prices for the various ideas and report back.
Fundraiser:
All in attendance approved the idea of doing a joint neighborhood yard sale in June. LeAnne originally proposed this idea. Christina and Rhett are going to discuss with her moving forward with the planning of the yard sale. Proposed having it in the church parking lot, and getting notification out to the neighbors to start collecting items to donate to the sale.
100th Anniversary Celebration:
Proposal is for a Casino/Jazz Night. Rhett has experience in planning a Casino Night, having done this at NC State. He will write up the priorities, tasks, and details for us to use as a guide. We are going to solicit volunteers to work on this as a separate committee. David will send an e-mail to the listserv asking anyone interested in volunteering to come to a brainstorming meeting on Wednesday, February 23rd, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Averitt's "Speakeasy", the basement under the architect's office on the corner of Glenwood and Peace.

Approximately $270 due for website hosting costs in March. She will update
the event planning primers posted on the website with target budget amounts.
