We had another good meeting,
though attendance was lighter than the last, with an entertaining
and informative police
officer talking about
safety, and with making good headway on our goals and priorities
for '02.
IMMEDIATE
1. Establish structure
for legal entity
a. Jeff Roberts reports:
i. File 1023 for charitable purpose organization (separate issue
from Articles of Organization)
ii. What is charitable purpose?
iii. Do we need one?
iv. Goals for fundraising?
v. Specific Narrative & beneficiaries required
b. Benefits
i. Tax-deductible fundraising
ii. Motion to create a non-profit entity
iii. Consensus achieved for above
c. Name: "Historic Glenwood-Brooklyn Neighborhood Association"

4. Merge and establish Bank Accounts
a. Mary Ann Turner Reports:
i. $558.00 deposit from tour (gross income)
ii. Currently $1091.36 (GB Association)
iii. Approximately $500.00 (HGNA)
iv. Once new entity established, bank accounts will merge
b. Glenwood-Brooklyn Association met to agree to merge
c. HGNA has not done so to date

5. New website Domain
a. Authorized David to proceed to purchase domain name
6. Establish account/logistics for printing (Jan)
7. Contractor List
a. Jennifer Almekinder will e-mail info to Marcea Barringer for
update to website
b. NOTE: As of 2-19-02, Marcea forwarded David what we had so
far. She will solicit other names after she completes something
a little more pressing- like giving birth!! (-"
