Block Party- future dates- it was suggested that we keep in mind that Artspolsure
may be same weekend as our Block Party. Agreement was to hold future years
in either later in May or early June..
Action Item: Going forward, update primers with past information/suggestions on different events.
Charity Event Discussion- Rhett Fussell
Rhett has suggested holding an art auction/silent auction. Suggestions are
to contact Lynn Ruck who arranged the auction in the park previously.
Stagger the bidding from small items to larger items and announce each time who the winner was to keep momentum going. Event will have wine, beer and food and possibly have a theme of “Taste of Glenwood South” (or Downtown Raleigh) which was well received by all.

Rhett will check in with SAS contact from Rhett as large sponsor
Ask Boylan Heights for list of their artists from their artwalk
Rhett to attend First Friday to make contacts
Next
steps will be to contact local restaurants, wine distributors, beer distributors,
potential sponsors and artists and entertainment.
Goal is to find a corporate sponsor to pay for the food. It was mentioned
that Rachel Turner knows a higher-up in Progress Energy she could contact.

Tour
of Homes Update – Jen Attride
We currently have 4 confirmed homes for the tour. We discussed holding the
tour across 2 days vs. ! but came to the agreement to have on one day. We
would like to hire the trolley and utilize trolley to help traffic flow. Suggested
to have an “A” route and a “B” route to minimize having
too many people in one house at a given time. Will look at having a sign made
at Kinko’s for the trolley.
Several other homeowners were mentioned as potential hosts for the tour and
will be contacted.
